2. Moisture Content: The moisture content in our cookies plays a significant role in their texture. Over time, the moisture can gradually evaporate, leading to a firmer texture.

3. Absence of Preservatives: Since we do not use chemical preservatives, our cookies do not have additives that can maintain their softness indefinitely.

To ensure the best experience for your furry companions, we recommend the following tips:

• Store the cookies in an airtight container to minimize exposure to air and moisture.
• Consume the cookies within their recommended shelf life for the freshest taste. General guidelines for this is 2 to 4 weeks. Even though others have reported a much longer shelf life. In the end…it is up to you to decide. 
• If the cookies become too hard for your pet's preference, you can try briefly soaking them in water to soften them up.

2. Store in a Cool, Dry Area: Ensure your cookies are stored in a cool and dry environment. Extreme temperatures and humidity can impact the integrity of the cookies.

 

TO THAWL FROZEN COOKIES: (freezing may make your cookie texture harder, even after thaw? ) 

1. To thaw the cookies, remove the desired number of individually airtight sealed cookies from the freezer.
2. Transfer these airtight sealed cookies to the refrigerator or counter top.
3. Thawing in the refrigerator is recommended because it prevents condensation from forming on the cookies, which can affect their texture.
4. Depending on the size and thickness of the cookies, they may take several hours to thaw completely in the refrigerator.
5. Once thawed, the cookies can be removed from the airtight cookie bags and  served to their furry friends at room temperature.

Exceptions: Please note that if your cookies have decorations or airbrushing: 

• Freezing and thawing may affect the decorations by making them soft or soggy as moisture is reabsorbed into the cookie.
• Cookies with airbrushing will experience runniness due to freezing and thawing. Airbrushing is water based.
